Dr. Ilham has more than twenty years of experience in training and teaching at both national
and international levels.
She is a professor of Pediatrics at the Faculty of Medicine Cairo University where she
teaches, assesses and constructs curricula for undergraduates and postgraduates medical
school students. Also, she is a researcher in the medical and educational fields with more than
thirty publications in the national and the international journals.
Dr. Ilham is an international certified trainer from the International Board of Certified
Trainers (IBCT), Netherlands. She has a Master’s degree in Health Profession Education
(MHPE) form Maastricht University, Netherlands and Suez Canal University, Egypt. She is
a trainer/ instructor in many national and international training programs/ courses such as: the
Egyptian fellowship (ElZamalla ElMasrya), the Faculty and Leadership Development
programs (FLDP), the TOT of the Royal college of Surgery of Ireland and the American
University in Cairo (AUC).
Dr. Ilham is a fellow in the Foundation for Advancement of International Medical Education
and Research (FAIMER), Philadelphia, USA. As a FAIMER member, Dr. Ilham is exposed
regularly to the new teaching and assessment strategies. Dr. Ilham is an intern of the editorial
internship program in Medical Education, UK.
